Event Description:

Conservation Work for Volunteers - led by Tony

Work off the excesses of Christmas binging and the New Year hang over by joining Tony for a session in Rough Ground Woods, the small remnant of heathland along the main vista. Work will include coppicing up to 50% of the large gorse bushes, thinning out some of the tree saplings and removing brambles that have started to smother areas of heather.

Don't forget you potatoes for baking on the fire.

Hot drinks and biscuits provided, but bring a packed lunch. Wear old clothing, sturdy footwear and waterproofs if necessary.

Meet at Langley Park car park (free parking - ask Tony for 1 day Parking Voucher)

Join our trained walk leaders for our new monthly Sunday walk around Langley Park, followed by lunch at Cafe San Remo in Black Park, or the Crooked Billet Beefeater Restaurant.

A chance to stay fit and healthy, meet new people, and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Ideal for anyone who is unable to join our walks during the week.

Easy flat walk, approximately 1¼ to 1½ hours. Please wear suitable footwear.

We will be working in the Temple Gardens - major pruning of laurel hedge running from gate by toilet block to the gardeners burning compound and removal of sycamores adjacent to the ha ha wall.

All material to be dragged and burnt within the gardeners compound.

Hot drinks and biscuits provided, but bring a packed lunch. Wear old clothing, sturdy footwear and waterproofs if necessary.
